🥇 Duda Ayres Wins World Title at the IBJJF No-Gi World Championship
In December, Maria Eduarda “Duda” Ayres represented JCR in the World IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship, organizado pela
International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation, realizado em Las Vegas entre December 11–13, 2025.
Competing in the Juvenile Blue Belt division, Duda showcased exceptional technique, discipline, and competitive spirit — and brought home the World Champion title.
This achievement places her not only as one of the promising young athletes in the region but also as a standout example of the level of training at JCR Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

🤼 Community Starts Strong with the First Open Mat of the Year
On January 3, our academy opened the doors for the first Open Mat of 2026, with students and guests from different academies across Central Florida.

🥋 Students Attend the Satoshi Ishii Judo Seminar in Orlando
On January 24, a group of JCR students attended the Satoshi Ishii Judo Seminar hosted by
Sasaki Judo.
The seminar featured Olympic medalist
Satoshi Ishii, offering high-level training on balance, footwork, throwing mechanics, and transitions into grappling.
Cross-training with Judo brings tremendous benefits to the Jiu-Jitsu athlete — especially improving takedowns, control and overall mat awareness — and our students gained invaluable experience.
